How to navigate through this course
Scroll bars
Scroll bars are the grey strip at the very right hand edge of this screen.
They have an arrow at each end. If you click in the grey area the view will
jump down one screen. If you hold the mouse button down on the arrow the
screen view will slowly move down.
Buttons
Using the mouse to click on a button will take you to another page of the
course. There are buttons on every page of this course. If you have already
been to where the button takes you the box surrounding the button will be
red, if you have not been there yet it will be blue.
The buttons on the top of the page. (Browser Buttons)
"Back" - will take you to the last page you were on.
"Forward" - will take you to the page you were at before you pressed
the back button.
"Home" - takes you to the page configured in the preferences to
be your Browser's Home URL.
"Reload" - causes the current page to be reloaded. Holding down
the "Option" (Mac) or "Control" (PC) key as you click
this button causes an "Absolute" reload of the current page from
the server.
"Images" - will display images on your page if your browser is
not displaying them automatically.
Other buttons
In its various forms takes you to a "Contents"
page of the current page
or
Takes you to the
previous page in a sequence
or
Takes you to the
next page in a sequence
Provides you with the answer to a question
or
takes you to the glossary
or
brings you to this help page
Hyper text
Hyper text are parts of the text that are links to take you to other pages.
In most cases it links to the definition of the word in a glossary. You
can tell which parts of the text are Hypertext
by their underlining and because they are coloured.
