Professor Leslie Wilkinson

He was appointed Professor of Architecture in 1918, and a year later became University Architect. Wilkinson was largely responsible for the major building projects in the University between 1920 and 1925 which produced the Physics Building, the northern and western sides of the quadrangle, extensions to the Anderson-Stuart Building as well as the Botany School extension. He also had the facades of the old Commercial Banking Company Bank in George St., Sydney transported to the Uiversity where they now house the Post Office.
