Guidelines for Submitting Development Proposals

Development proposals for the TDU are to be directed to the chair of the TDUMCom, Peter McGee. Please read the selection criteria prior to submitting your proposal. It is also suggested that you consider computer-based approaches that have already been developed or are currently in use. Use of existing models simplifies and shortens the process of development. For examples of previous developments by the TDU please refer to developments.

If you have ideas for development but need to discuss them before making a formal proposal please feel free to contact the TDU Manager, Aida Yalcin.

The TDU management committee will discuss and prioritise successful proposals within a month or two of submission (where possible).

Proposals that gain TDU support will be then developed in association with the academic proponent into a full project proposal in which a project timeline and work schedule will be devised.

External Grant applications should be discussed with SOBSTDU. This is to ensure continuity of learning materials within the School. As grants to support teaching are awarded, the staff associated with the grant will be able to either work with TDU, using their facilities and experience in the development of new materials or devolve all development responsibilty to the TDU. Please refer to Funding Sources for suggested sources of funds.
